村田提供的热释电红外传感器大体分为以下几个类型：

在双型中，已对高灵敏度双型及适用于室外组件的类型进行了产品化。

在室外使用的情况

热释电红外传感器应尽量避免在阳光直射的地方使用，但在传感器（透镜部分）采取防晒措施的前提下，也有在室外使用的实例。建议选用在内部结构上不易受温度变化影响的IRA-S220ST01A01 / IRA-S230ST01。
